Here’s a little history of Maxwell's.
Maxwell’s Art and Treasures was opened in 2008, selling Antiques, Art, Jewelry, and various collectible items.
We have a HUGE inventory, come in and look around.
The store was recently expanded to 6,000 Sq. Ft.
In early 2009 we opened the "Maxwell's Art Center" with tools and supplies for almost any kind of project.
Painting, Pottery, Ceramics, Stained Glass, Mosaics, Clay Sculpting, Metal Sculpting, Glass Fusing….etc….
Maxwell’s now features work from over 40 local artists, and we're currently offering Twenty-Five Art Classes for the Winter Class Schedule, with more on the way.
We have been having an open blues jam night called "Blues and Muse" one Saturday a month since March 2009.
In late August 09 we expanded the showroom and added classroom space.
In September 09 we built a 184 Sq. Ft. stage and installed stage lights.
In October 09 we began booking the other Saturday nights during the month.
We can now seat around 110 and Maxwell's can hold 150 to 200 people.
Part of what makes the venue very unique, is that all of the shows are presented live in 5.1 surround sound.
Another cool thing is if you liked the chair or table you sat at for a show, you can buy it and take it home.
Maxwell’s does not sell or serve any alcohol.
However some shows are BYOB.
Most of our events are of a family friendly nature,
Shows that may include a more adult oriented content will be advertised as such.
